and prayed: “O Lord, bless everyone!<\/h5>\n
Lift from each saddened heart the pain<\/h5>\n
and let the sick be well again.”<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

And then I woke, another day,<\/h5>\n
and carelessly went on my way.<\/h5>\n
The whole day long I did not try<\/h5>\n
to wipe a tear from any eye.<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

I did not try to share the load<\/h5>\n
of any sister on the road.<\/h5>\n
I did not even go to see<\/h5>\n
the sick man just next door to me.<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yet once again, when day was done,<\/h5>\n
I prayed: “O Lord, \u00a0bless everyone!”<\/h5>\n
But as I prayed, into my ear<\/h5>\n
there came a voice that whispered clear:<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

whom have you tried to bless today?<\/h5>\n
God’s sweetest blessings always go<\/h5>\n
by hands that serve Him here below.”<\/h5>\n

And then I hid my face and cried,<\/h5>\n
“Forgive me, God, I have not tried!<\/h5>\n
But let me live another day<\/h5>\n
and I will live the way I pray.”<\/h5>\n
