Women’s World Day of Prayer
Mar 7 all-day

3503949.pngThis year’s Women’s World Day of Prayer takes the theme of ‘Streams in the Desert’ and has been put together by women from Egypt.

Women’s World Day of Prayer is a global and ecumenical movement of prayer, organised and led by Christian women who call both men and women from around the world to gather on the first Friday in March each year and join in common prayer.

The service is written by a different country each year and that country then becomes the focus of the world’s prayers on the day itself.

Given the different time zones around the world, it is expected that the first service of the day will take place on the Island of Samoa and the last service will take place on American Samoa.

This means that prayer ripples around the world over a period of 36 hours.

Wisbech parish will be joining Women’s World Day of Prayer in All Saints Church in Walsoken at 7.30pm.

Keep checking for details of where March parish will join these international celebrations.
